What is IPIA?
The IPIA is a trade association representing manufacturers and distributors of packaged ice and manufacturers of ice making equipment, supplies and services. Founded in 1917 as the National Ice Association, this trade organization remains ideal for any size company by providing information and resources that will help growth and profitability. Industry member companies’ range in size from small distributors and family owned and operated companies with one production location serving the local area surrounding that production facility to multi production, multi location businesses serving wide geographical regions. The IPIA is the industry’s only national trade group in North America and represents over 400 ice manufacturing and distribution locations and approximately 80% of all packaged ice produced.
